What does ‘I’ve got you under my skin’ mean to you?

You’ve got me humming because it’s a great track and I’m particularly drawn to Sinatra’s version but to me, it means holistic health and wellbeing. It means nourishing your skin from the inside-out.

It’s a whole-body approach to skincare, considering factors like nutrition and gut-health, hydration, sleep, stress management and daily lifestyle factors alongside topical and facial treatments.

No matter the volume of skincare products you use or expensive beauty treatments you undergo, your skin reflects your overall health.

There’s a connection between internal health and external appearance and moreover, the connection extends to mental and emotional wellbeing too.

What you put on your skin is important but what’s underneath it and how you work with what’s underneath, is just as vital.

Does your product line deal with this question?

It’s partly why I created it! Ragan Skin is a results-driven range of products that include ingredients that are combined in ways that are proven to work deeply.

When used in isolation, my products may not permanently fix all your skin concerns because no product line can. Again, truly healthy skin calls for holistic health and wellbeing. It’s for this reason that RaganSkin.com includes video pop-ups of me educating and empowering people on how to maximise the efficacy of my products. It’s also partly why I’m so active in media.

Ragan Skin products are focussed on addressing the root cause of skincare concerns – that is, healing the skin’s barrier function.

I have a background in cosmetic chemistry and I personally monitor every step of the products’ formation, working within the lab alongside pharmacists and cosmetic lab technicians to ensure each formulation is produced to the highest, Ragan Skin standard.

My clients and customers are at the centre of both my private clinic and my product line. While domination of the global skincare market is an aspiration, for now, the bulk of my customers are Australian and so, Ragan Skin is a line deliberately designed to treat skin exposed to the harsh Australian climate.

All products within the range are proudly Australian made and manufactured. They’re also paraben-free, sulphate-free, contain no synthetic fragrance, no artificial colours, are cruelty-free, vegan (selected products), packaged in medical grade bottles with a calibrated airless pump to guarantee accurate dosage and stop contamination, and are UV protected.

Your treatments are widely used – what is the secret to this success?

One of the most pivotal turning points for my clinic, Isabella Loneragan Skin, was sparked by my decision to invest in international travel to learn from masters of massage techniques that really are remarkable.

After first travelling to Paris to learn the intricacies of the Buccal (intra-oral) massage technique created by ‘The God of Facial Massage’ Yakov Gershkovich, I returned home with the official title of Australia’s first Buccal and Sculptural Lifting Specialist. I combined my internationally accredited skills in Buccal with my own skills gleaned over almost two decades as a practicing facialist to then curate and trademark my first master treatment: The Intrinsic Facial.

My skills in Buccal (a technique I knew to be famous for its favouritism by celebrities like Margot Robbie and Meghan Markle) gave me game-changing marketing power.

Then, my subsequent travel to Paris and to London to learn traditional Japanese Kobido and Chinese Chuanzhi acupressure movements afforded me the knowledge to create my second master facial treatment: The Intrinsic Illumination Infusion.

More than simply working wonders for my business branding, my decision to become accredited in these techniques means I’m able to offer my clients next-level facial treatments that work intrinsically – with long-lasting benefits that not only show externally but also actually extend to benefit the body’s internal organs.

My treatments uniquely combine modern methods and ancient massage practices that are recognised to provide holistic wellbeing and emotional equilibrium, as well as a more youthful looking outer appearance.

You bring women forward and encourage them. Fulfilling?

Of course! I’m all about empowering and educating people to understand the science behind their skin. It’s why I’m so transparent and detailed in the product information I provide to customers of RaganSkin.com and why my clinic consults are so in-depth.

Female empowerment is part of my business DNA. This is also why I provide an accredited course and training for fellow therapists to upskill and elevate their own businesses. I have received only completely positive feedback from my students and that means the world to me.

What prompted you to develop skin care products?

Frankly, I became fed-up with other products in market that perpetuate a dependency loop fuelled by a profit-driven motive. Ragan Skin is my way of helping people to unlock clinic results at home. It’s Ragan Skin products that I use when treating clients in my clinic so why not offer my clinically proven products more widely too.

*Where do you find inspiration? What drives you?

I am obsessed with skincare. I always have been. I really do find inspiration in the transformation of my clients, and seeing their confidence grow as a result of my products and treatment.

Favourite quote?

No matter how bad the situation, good will always come out of it.
